William G. Hardwick

William Guy Hardwick (* May 30, 1910 in Hartford, Geneva County, Alabama; † January 15, 1993 ) was an American politician. Hardwick was a member of the Democratic Party.

The son of William and Emma (nee Corbitt ) Hardwick first went to public school in Hartford. After he left high school in 1928, he studied at the University of Alabama. In 1933 he finished his studies and began still practicing law the same in Dothan.

1938 moved Hardwick as a deputy in the House of Representatives from Alabama a. In 1942 he was re-elected, but was shortly after the election his seat in favor of a place in the U.S. Air Force on. Quickly, he was elevated to the rank of Second Lieutenant, after which he worked as a teacher for Military Law at the Officers' Training School in Miami. On December 25, 1945 Hardwick resigned his commission in the rank of Major.

The following year he became a member of the Senate of Alabama for the Henry and Houston County. In 1954 he was elected Vice- Governor of the State of Alabama and held that office for a term of office.

Hardwick was married to Dorthoy Creel since 18 September 1936.
