William Haile (Mississippi)

William Haile (* 1797, † March 7, 1837 in Woodville, Mississippi ) was an American politician. Between 1826 and 1828, he represented the first electoral district of the state of Mississippi in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

The exact date of birth and the birthplace of William Haile are unknown. After his arrival in Mississippi, he settled in Woodville in Wilkinson County. Politically, he was a member of that wing of the Democratic-Republican Party, and later founded by Andrew Jackson Democratic party emerged from the. In 1826, Haile was a deputy in the House of Representatives from Mississippi.

After the death of Congressman Christopher Rankin in 1826 Haile was as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected. This mandate, he took up on 10 July in 1826.
