William Henry Hunt (painter)

William Henry Hunt ( born March 28, 1790 in London, † February 10, 1864 ) was an English painter.

Hunt appeared in 1808 in the London academy after he had enjoyed with John Varley lessons, and put in the beginning oil painting, from 1814 but mostly watercolors. In 1827 he became a member of the Society of Painters in Watercolours. His creativity was great. Often we saw 20 to 30 works at the same time issued by him, interiors, genre pictures, still lifes, portraits. At the beginning of his career still uncertain in watercolor, he developed his talent to gleaming height and has all the genera which he treated with great natural truth justice. From youth to sickly, he spent much time in Hastings and died on 10 February 1864 in London.

Are known by other his watercolors from Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.
