William Hickey (actor)

William Edward Hickey ( born September 19, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, † June 29, 1997 in New York City, New York) was an American film and theater actor.

Life

William Hickey was born as the youngest child of Edward and Nora Hickey in Brooklyn; He also had an older sister. Hickey was as a child in some smaller plays on stage and already knew early on that he wanted to be an actor. 1938 Hickey was hired as a spokesperson for a radio show for children, which meant another leap up the career ladder for the eleven year olds.

After finishing school, Hickey began to study acting in their studio in 1948 Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof to later, when he had already made a name for himself as an actor to return as a teacher at the institution.
