William L. Armstrong

William Lester Armstrong ( born March 16, 1937 in Fremont, Nebraska) is an American businessman and politician, who represented the state of Colorado in both chambers of Congress.

Armstrong studied at Tulane University and the University of Minnesota. From 1957 to 1963 he served in the United States Army National Guard. After that, he was from 1963 to 1964 the House of Representatives from Colorado, and from 1965 to 1972 the Senate of Colorado. Professionally, he worked in the banking industry; He also led at times to a radio station in Aurora.

1972 Armstrong was elected as a Republican in the House of Representatives of the United States and worked as a deputy from 3 January 1973 to 3 January 1979 there. After his election victory over Democratic incumbent Floyd K. Haskell, he moved to the U.S. Senate, where he served 3 January 1979 to 3 January 1991.
