William Lewis (football)

William Lewis was an English football referee, coach and functionary.

Lewis appeared in the early 20th century in many function with the English club football. At first he was referee; between August 1900 and May 1903, he was manager of Brentford FC. At the creation of Chelsea he became its first Secretary-General; its relations helped with the recording of the clubs in the Football League. The end of 1906 he took over briefly in addition, the Office of the coach at Chelsea; in this role, he led the team in 1907 for promotion to the First Division.
