William N. Baltz

William Nicolas Baltz ( born February 5, 1860 in Millstadt, Illinois; † August 22, 1943 ) was an American politician.

After the end of his education William Baltz worked on numerous fields such as agriculture and banking. He was a member of the Education Committee of Millstadt and served from 1892 to 1917 as its president. Between 1897 and 1913 he was a member of the governing body of the St. Clair County ( Board of Supervisors ), which he headed from 1908 to 1911.

Baltz was elected as a Democrat to the 63rd Congress and represented there on 4 March 1913 to 3 March 1915 the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the 1914 elections, he could not defend his seat. Baltz was six years Mayor of Millstadt and was then back in town business. He died there in 1943 and was buried in Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
