William T. Zenor

William Taylor Zenor ( born April 30, 1846 in Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana, † June 2, 1916 in New Albany, Indiana ) was an American politician. Between 1897 and 1907 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

William Zenor attended the common schools and the Seminary of James G. May After a subsequent law school in New Albany and his 1870 was admitted to the bar he began to work in this profession in Corydon. In 1871 he moved his residence and his law firm to Leavenworth. Between 1879 and 1885, was Zenor Attorney in Harrison County and Crawford County; 1885 to 1897, he served as a judge for the third judicial district of his state.

Politically, Zenor member of the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1896 he was in the third electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Robert J. Trace Well on March 4, 1897. After four elections he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1907 five legislative sessions. During this time, including the Spanish-American War was from 1898.

After his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives William Zenor practiced again as a lawyer in Corydon. In 1910 he moved to New Albany, where he continued to work as a lawyer. He is also passed on 2 June 1916.
