William Travilla

William Travilla came to Hollywood in 1942 and worked in B- movies. Later, he designed costumes for major film productions and won an Oscar in 1949 for The amorous adventures of Don Juan with Errol Flynn in the title role. In 1951 he made ​​the costumes for The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Later Travilla worked mainly for the film studio 20th Century Fox and was responsible in eight of her films for the wardrobe of Marilyn Monroe.
