William Vince

William Vince ( born November 23, 1963 in British Columbia, † June 21, 2008 in Vancouver ) was an Oscar- nominated Canadian film producer.

Biography

Career

Vince produced in 1992 a film which started off with the title Cafe Romeo. A previously known film was New York Killer - The art of killing. For Air Bud Vince won the Genie Award. After the turn of the millennium he was suggested regularly for his films at prices three times he was nominated for a Leo Award. To be particularly successful film Capote himself, who appeared in theaters in 2005 proved. The following year he was even nominated for an Oscar. Vince himself received four nominations and an award for his participation in the film Capote. His last two films he produced were Push and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, both published in 2009. However, Vince died in the summer of 2008 due to a sarcoma. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was dedicated to him posthumously next to the also died during the filming of Heath Ledger.

Private

Vince was married to Cynthia Miles and had three children with her. Not only Vince, but also his brother Robert Vince has worked in the film industry as a director and also as a producer.
