William Vivanco

William Vivanco (* 1975 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a singer- songwriter of the youngest generation of the Nueva Trova.

His music is influenced by pop, rock, reggae, bossa nova, blues and rap, without sacrificing Cuban references. Cameo appearances in the film Música cubana and on the CDs of Interactivo and Telmary not show the whole breadth of his vocal style, the onomatopoeia, rhythmic noise and non-text passages (as in the award-winning video " Cimarron " ) with includes.

On his own publications poetic rebellious texts on specific topics such as the semi-mythical Cuban maroons or harvest work of the students come to bear.

Foreign tours have taken him to France in 2004 and 2007 in the Netherlands.
