William W. Warren

William Wirt Warren ( born February 27, 1834 in Boston, Massachusetts, † May 2, 1880 ) was an American politician. Between 1875 and 1877 he represented the state of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

After a good primary education William Warren studied until 1856 at Harvard University. After studying law and his 1857 was admitted as a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. In 1865 he worked for the IRS in the seventh financial district of Massachusetts. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career. In July 1868, he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in New York; in 1870 he was elected to the Massachusetts Senate.

In the congressional elections of 1874 Warren was in the eighth electoral district of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of John MS Williams on March 4, 1875. Since he has not been confirmed in 1876, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1877. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Warren practiced law in Boston, where he died on May 2, 1880.
