Willie Cobbs

Willie Cobbs ( born July 15, 1932 in Smale, Arkansas, United States) is an American blues singer and harmonica player. His most famous song is You Do not Love Me from 1960, the number of artists - was recorded - from Junior Wells to the Allman Brothers. In the more than five decades of his career, Cobb has performed with virtually every blues musician of distinction.

Cobbs moved in 1947 from Arkansas to Chicago, where he met blues musicians such as Little Walter and Eddie Boyd. With You Do not Love Me 1960 he had his first hit. In the following decades he continued to record, sometimes on his own record label ( Riceland, Ricebelt, C & F). He has performed at various blues festivals and had minor roles in films, such as in Mississippi Masala (1991). Over time Cobbs operating various blues clubs.

1986 appeared the album Hey Little Girl, 1994, Down to Earth.
