Willie Gault

Willie Gault ( Willie James Gault, born September 5, 1960 in Griffin, Georgia ) is a former American sprinter and hurdler. After his athletics career, he joined the American Football.

In 1980 he was part of the U.S. Olympic team, but could not start because his country boycotted the games in Moscow. In the alternatively held Ä__Liberty Bell Classic he won bronze over 100m. In 1982 he became U.S. champion in the 110- meter hurdles.

In 1983, he won the 110m hurdles silver at the Universiade and the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay team of the World Cup put the U.S. team in the cast Emmit King, Gault, Calvin Smith and Carl Lewis with a world record of 37.86 seconds.
