Willingshausen

Willinghausen is a community in the Schwalm -Eder district in Hesse ( Germany ). The eponymous site of the municipality, the village Willinghausen, located between the towns of Merzhausen and Wasenberg, the administrative seat and largest town of the community.

Geography

The community Willinghausen located south of the Schwalm on the eponymous river and its tributaries right Antreff and Leimbach. The Town Hall is based in Wasenberg, which lies between the place Willinghausen and Treysa.

Neighboring communities

Willinghausen bordered to the north by the town of Schwalm city, in the north- east on the community Frielendorf, on the east by the town of Neukirchen and the community Schrecksbach (all in the Schwalm -Eder-Kreis ) in the south to the town of Alsfeld and the community Antrifttal (both in the Vogelsberg ), and in the west on the town of Neustadt ( Marburg- Biedenkopf ).

Community structure

It consists of the nine districts Gungelshausen, Leimbach, Loshausen, Merzhausen, Ransbach, Steina, Wasenberg ( council offices ), Willinghausen and Zella.

History

The original community Willinghausen formed at 31 December 1971 together with Gungelshausen, Merzhausen and Zella the new community Antrefftal. This was dissolved on 1 January 1974 and integrated into a new community, which started the places Leimbach, Loshausen, Ransbach, Steina and Wasenberg. This new community was named Willinghausen, although the eponymous place was not the largest of the new church, and is, and is not centrally located.

Regular events

In the district Loshausen found until 2008 every year two music festivals: The first weekend in August, the World Music Festival of Friends sound eV, and " Rock im Park" of Loshäuser Guldurfereins in July, which no longer takes place since 2009.

Traffic

Federal highway 254 Homberg - Fulda crosses the municipality in the east. At the junction Alsfeld -west of the A5 Kassel- Frankfurt (Main) is about 15 km. The community belongs to the North-Hessian Transport Association. The stations Treysa and Neustadt on the Main- Weser Railway are each about 6 km from the district Wasenberg, the closest is removed.

Renewable Energies

Since the beginning of March 2010, a biogas plant (2.1 MWe ) is operated in Willinghausen - Ransbach. It feeds per hour about 350 Nm ³ biomethane into the local gas grid. The plant is a joint project of local farmers, a project developer and the Städtische Werke Kassel.
