Willy Corrêa de Oliveira

Willy Corrêa de Oliveira ( born February 11, 1938 in Recife ) is a Brazilian composer.

Oliveira studied in Sao Paulo at George Olivier Toni and participated in the Darmstadt Summer Courses for New Music at Henri Pousseur, Luciano Berio, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Pierre Boulez. He then worked in the electronic studio of the University of Music Karlsruhe, West German, Italian and French broadcasting.

Later he taught at the conservatory of music theory and composition and Santos at the University of Sao Paulo composition. He composed orchestral and chamber works, songs based on texts Portuguese troubadours, choral works, film and theater music.
