Willy Rumpf

Willy hull, Willi Hull ( born April 4, 1903 in Berlin, † 8 February 1982 in Berlin) was Minister of Finance of the GDR.

Life

As the son of an employee he graduated after attending the elementary school from 1917 to 1920 trained as a insurance agent and worked until 1932 as an accountant, cashier and correspondent in foreign trade. In 1920, he joined the Young Communist League of Germany, 1925, the KPD. From 1933 he made illegal anti-fascist resistance activity was from 1933 to 1938 in the penitentiary and in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp in detention. He then worked again as a clerk and was a member of the resistance group of Robert Uhrig. 1944 and 1945 he was again in custody.

1945 to 1947 he was Deputy Director of Finance of the City Council of Greater Berlin, 1947 and 1948 head of the Treuhand Management Berlin, 1948 and 1949 Head of the Main Administration Finance of the German Economic Commission and 1949-1955 State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.

1946 occurred in the body of the SED. He was from 1949 to 1967 deputy of the People's Chamber, from 1950 and from 1963 candidate member of the Central Committee of the SED. 1955 to 1966 he was Minister of Finance and Member of the Council of Ministers, in 1963 the Bureau.

Willy hull was up to his death with Ella Hull (1907-2002) married, whose brother Otto Winzer was. Ella Hull worked for the so-called M- apparatus, the intelligence service of the KPD. She was married in first marriage with Rudolf Schwarz, who was " shot while trying to escape " on February 1, 1934 John Schehr. His son Guido Hull served in the NVA and was for many years a sea captain commander of a military unit of the People's Navy.
