Wilson Chandler
Wilson Chandler Jamall ( born May 10, 1987 in Benton Harbor, Michigan ) is an American professional basketball player. The 2.03 m tall small forward was selected in the NBA Draft 2007, 23 out of the New York Knicks, where he played until 2011. He is currently with the Denver Nuggets under contract.
High School
Wilson Chandler played at Benton Harbor High School in Michigan where she gained his first experience as a basketball player. In his third season as "Junior" Chandler was already remarkable 22.4 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per encounter. In his fourth and final year at Benton Harbor High he screwed up his stats to 24 PpS, 12.0 and 5.0 RpS ApS. His team remained unbeaten in all games and lost only in the finals for the state championship of Michigan. In 2005 he was awarded the " Mr.Basketball of Michigan ."
College
Chandler then moved to the DePaul University, where he played with his team in the Big East Conference of the NCAA. In his first year as a " freshman " Wilson Chandler scored 10.6 meter per game round and became strong 7.2 rebound per game. He has been awarded several times as " Big East rookie of the week". The second season was Chandler for a very successful and so he was able to increase his stats in almost every category. With 14.7 PpS, 6.9, and 1.4 blocks per game RpS he was among the top performers of his college team. However, he left DePaul and reported subsequently at the NBA Draft 2007.
NBA
On draft night Chandler was at 23 out of the New York Knicks, who were trained at this time of coach Isiah Thomas, pulled.
In the 2007/08 season, his first in the NBA, did not make the 2.03 -meter forward to assert themselves at the " Knickerbokers " and played only 35 of 82 possible missions. However, he surprised in these games and provided strong 7.3 points per game.
Under the new head coach of the Knicks, Mike D' Antoni, Chandler managed now finally made it into the NBA and was even starting on the position of small forward. In 70 of 82 games, he was already at the start of the match on the floor and thanked 14.4 PpS and 5.4 RpS those responsible. The playoffs did not reach the Knicks but despite this strong performance.
2009/10 Chandler had to contend with slight injury problems and missed 17 games, making him but did not stop to set aside his points haul to 15.3 PpS. Another milestone he achieved in the game against the Sacramento Kings, where the forward scored 35 points: his personal best yield point in an encounter.
2010/11 brought a trade for Chandler with it. In a multi- player swap born 1987 Americans in exchange (including with his team members Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, etc.) was traded for NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony to the Denver Nuggets. But changed to its high-altitude flight in the regular season despite the trades nothing: Chandler scored in double figures and was on the offensive an essential variable for Denver. With the Nuggets, he reached for the first time the NBA playoffs, but the team from Colorado was eliminated against the Oklahoma City Thunder with clear 1-4.
China
Because of the lockout ( German: lockout ) in the NBA, the unsigned Chandler in 2011 moved to China's Zhejiang Guangsha. He signed a one -year contract. After Guangsha was eliminated from the playoffs, he returned to the Denver Nuggets.
