Wim Crusio

Wim Crusio ( born December 20, 1954 in Bergen op Zoom ) is a Dutch neurobiologist and behavior geneticists. He's " directeur de recherche " at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Talence, France.

Life

1979 made ​​Crusio his master's degree at the Radboud University Nijmegen, with theses in the field of behavioral genetics, plant taxonomy and plant sociology. In 1984 there also its graduation to Ph.D. with a thesis in the field of behavioral genetics. In the following years he worked in the field of Plant Taxonomy and published on the genus Bunge and a new species of the genus Arum. Supported by an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship Crusio worked from 1984 to 1987 as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Heidelberg. In 2000 he became professor of psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts.

From 2002 to 2011 he was editor of the scientific journal Genes, Brain and Behavior.
