Wim Tap

Willem Wim Tap or Tap ( born October 3, 1903 in The Hague, † 24 September 1979) was a Dutch football player.

Club career

Wim Tap played from 1920 to 1936 for ADO Den Haag. In 1926, he managed to ascend with his club through two qualifying matches in the first league, but there had to settle for places in the lower half of the table.

National team career

Wim Tap was center-forward from 1924 to 1931 in the Dutch national football team. He scored 17 goals in 33 internationals. His last international game he played on April 26, 1931 against Germany. He scored the only goal for his team in a 1-1 draw. Tap finished his playing career at the age of 31 years and became a coach.

Coaching career

After his active career as a player Wim Tap became a coach. He won with ADO Den Haag in the years 1942 and 1943 respectively, the Dutch championship.
