Wim Volkers

Wim Volkers ( born October 3, 1899 in Amsterdam, † January 4, 1990 in Amsterdam) was a Dutch football player and coach of Ajax Amsterdam.

Career

Volkers began his career as a striker for AFC Ajax, where he scored 129 goals in 13 seasons in 265 games, and so he is in position 6 of the goalscorers list of the association. In the years 1924-1936 Volkers played seven times for the Dutch national football team, scoring 2 goals.

After his pro career Volkers worked as manager of Ajax Amsterdam in the season 1941-42.
