Winchelsea

Winchelsea is a village in the county of East Sussex in the south east of England with a population of 580 in 278 houses. Together with Icklesham, Winchelsea Beach and Rye Harbour is part of the Civil parish (municipality ) in Icklesham Rother District.

Location

Winchelsea located 13 km north-east of Hastings. The beach is 2 km south-east and London to the northwest 87 km.

Infrastructure

In the village is a rentable for festivities village hall. The parish church is dedicated to St. Thomas dedicated to the martyrs. The Methodist chapel is used for regular occasions. Winchelsea has a primary school ( primary school St. Thomas 's) and a small museum on the history of the village.
