Wind brace

The Windrispe (short panicle ) is a timber with a cross section of about 40 /100 mm and is used for diagonal bracing of a wooden roof support structure to prevent a parallel shift in the rafters ( shear). The Windrispe is attached to the underside of the rafter. It is often enough a Windrispe per roof area, because, in contrast to Windrispenband can train and compressive forces. Conveniently located takes the Windrispe on wind loads, without requiring them to be passed through the entire structure.
