The Wind River is a classified as a stream tributary of the Columbia River in Washington State. It runs completely in Skamania County ( Washington). An earlier name was Crusattes River.
Course
The Wind River rises in the Cascade Range south of Mount Adams and Mount St. Helens. It flows generally south through the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and flows near Carson in the Columbia River Gorge in the same stream.
