The Wind River is a 129 km long river in the Interior of Alaska. It rises on the Continental Divide in the Philip Smith Mountains, a mountain range in the Brooks Range, flows south and empties into the East Fork Chandalar River.

The headwaters of the Wind River in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and an unnamed tributary in 1980 a total of 225 kilometers of rivers have been designated as National Wild and Scenic River by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act.
