WinDirStat
WinDirStat is a free program with which you can easily analyze the disk structure. In this case, either a partition or a file folder is searched for objects and arranged according to the program. So simple can be tracked with multiple archives large files or large folders. WinDirStat is released under the GNU General Public License.
Graphical representation / tree map
In the lower part is shown pictorially after the successful search the partition or folder, such as the hard drive is what files occupied. From WinDirStat This artwork is called tree map (after eng. Treemap ). Each file is represented by a rectangle. And files in the same folders are themselves arranged in rectangles.

Directory List
In addition to the so-called tree map there is also a list of directories in a tree structure that summarizes the conditions in numbers.
Thus it can be determined which folders need most space.

Type list
Top right is then the type of list that sorted by the size of the deposits, all file types enumerated. There are recognized directly to the following values:
- File Type
- Color (the same as in the tree map)
- Description
- Bytes ( space occupied by the files you need with this extension )
- % Bytes ( proportion of the square, the files need with this extension )
- Files (number of files with the same extension )
