Windows Automated Installation Kit

The Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK or WAIK ) Microsoft provides a way to let Windows install automatically. This technique has been used for Windows Vista. The automatic installation skips all requests, which usually occur during an operating system installation. The license key, computer name, and other settings can be set once and then installed on multiple computers.

The Windows System Image Manager (Windows SIM), which can be created for unattended installation process unattend.xml files is included with the Windows Automated Installation Kit.

WAIK has been replaced by the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK ), and now supports Windows 8
