Windows Deployment Services
The Windows Deployment Services WDS short (English, Windows Deployment Services ), are the successors of the introduced with Windows 2000 RIS service ( Remote Installation Services). The WDS services provide both the old RIS functionality, as well as a new, Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7 developed, Image method in compatibility mode ( Mixed Mode ).
