Windows Embedded Automotive ( formerly Windows Automotive or Microsoft Auto ) is an operating system of Windows Embedded family of products. It is the successor of the operating systems Microsoft Auto 4.1 and Windows Automotive 5.5. To use the operating system, the Windows Embedded Automotive Development Kit (WE- ADK ) is required. The kit consists of the hardware and evaluation versions of Windows Embedded Automotive, as well as a Windows Embedded Platform Development Kit.
