NET Compact Framework for easy development of software.

Other products

Limitations

Windows Embedded can be restored to a full-fledged operating system to expand (in the case of Windows Embedded Standard 2009 and on XP Professional SP2 SP3 with driver ) but there are some use restrictions in the license terms. For example, no desktop systems with Windows Embedded Standard 2009 may be fitted.

To obtain runtime licenses, a contract must be completed with Microsoft, called "Microsoft OEM Customer License Agreement for Embedded Systems". Only then the purchase is possible.
