Windsor Park is a football stadium in Belfast.

In addition to the Linfield FC, ​​who play their home games at Windsor Park, the stadium is used by the Northern Ireland national football team as the National Stadium and the Northern Irish Football Association as the venue for the Northern Irish Cup final.

The course was inaugurated in 1905 with a match between Linfield FC and Glentoran FC. The stadium was built in the 1930s, designed by the Scottish architect Archibald Leitch, who had also designed Celtic Park, Ibrox and Hampden Park, built.

The main grandstand, denoted by South Stand, was built as a covered grandstand with seats. Called The opposite stand and the eastern grandstand, Railway End, were also covered. Both offered, as well as the Spion Kop Kop or stand -called uncovered west stand, standing room only. At that time, the stadium offered 60,000 spectators. In the 1960s, seats were also installed in Railway End. In 1970, the gap between the South Stand and Railway End was closed with lounges. After a fire completely destroyed the main stand had to be replaced. North Stand has since been on two tiers under a cantilever roof 6,800 seats. " Kop Stand " was in a state of disrepair and was replaced in the late 1990s as well, and now offers 5,000 seats.

The current total capacity of 20.332 spectators, of which 14,000 seats. However, only the main stand and Kop stand will be open for home games of Linfield FC most. The opposite stand is left to the opposing fans with a large number of spectators. The entire stadium is open at home games of the Northern Ireland national football team. Here Linfield FC receives 15 percent of the gate receipts.
