WinEdt

WinEdt is a shareware text editor for Microsoft Windows (Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and Windows 9x/ME/NT with restrictions). It is designed as a development environment for the typesetting program LaTeX. The first version was released in April 1995 for Windows 3.1. Since version 5.5 ( 2007 ) the Software may be restricted also handles the UTF -8 files, since version 7.0 ( 2012) provides WinEdt full UTF -8 support. Starting with version 8.0 ( 2013) there are in addition to the 32- bit variant, a 64- bit version.
