Winfried Nachtwei

Winfried Nachtwei Maria ( born April 15, 1946 in Wulfen ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ) and an expert on peace and security policy.

Life and career

After graduating from the Max - Planck -Gymnasium in Dusseldorf Nachtwei made ​​from 1965 to 1967 his military service and then completed a teaching degree in history and social sciences in Munich and Münster, which he finished with the state examination for the higher teaching. He then worked from 1977 to 1994 as a teacher at the Clemens -Brentano -Gymnasium in Dülmen.

Nachtwei was in the 1970s a member of the Maoist Communist League West Germany, after which he was active in the peace movement since 1980 and was among the founding members of the Green Party in Münster, where he was several times a member of the District Board.
