Angle (Eifel ) is a municipality in the volcanic Eifel region of Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Daun.

Geography

The municipality is located in the natural park Eifel as well as in the conservation area "Between Ueß and Kyll ". It is divided into the districts of low- angle and high angle.

The municipality also includes the residential places Birkenhof, Eichenhof, hunting lodge, Kreuzhof, Pappelhof, Reimelshof, Talhof and Tommelhof.

History

The first mention of the place as " Winkela " can be found in a document dated August 1, 1144, in the King Conrad III. the monastery Springiersbach his possession confirmed in angle. From the Emperor Henry VI. was the monastery confirmed the possession again in 1193.

Coat of arms
