Winston Elliott Scott ( born August 6, 1950 in Miami, Florida, United States) is a former American astronaut.

Scott received a bachelor's degree in music in 1972 from Florida State University and a master's in 1980 aeronautical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.

In December 1972, Scott ran for the United States Navy, where he received training as a naval aviator and helicopter pilot. From 1974, he was stationed for four years in an anti - submarine squadron Helikoter in California. As an F -14 pilot, he was later stationed in Virginia. Starting in 1986, followed by deployments still in Florida and Pennsylvania.
