Winter Garden Theatre

It is located on the 50th and 51st. The building was built by architect William Albert Swasey 1911 and opened on 10 March 1911. Architect Herbert J. Krapp From it was renewed in 1922. In the theater there are 1526 seats for visitors. Owner of the theater is the Shubert Organization. The longest running production at the Winter Garden Theatre was the musical Cats. In the Winter Garden Theatre, the premiere of the musical West Side Story took place. The music was composed by Leonard Bernstein. The awarding of the Tony Awards took place at the Winter Garden Theatre in 1975.
