Winter room

A winter room can be found on used by tourists mountain huts that are not maintained during the winter. The winter room is in contrast to the rest of the cabin easily accessible and usually not locked or accessible with the Alpine Club Key.

In a winter room you can stay in self-catering in the winter. Most often you will find there beds with blankets and often a wood stove or a gas stove with dishes, solar lighting, etc.

The advertised by posting nightly fee can either be placed in the hut Checkout the winter room or transfers it directly to the cottage -owning section of the Alpine Club.

Most mountain huts in the Alps have a winter room.
