Winter is a municipality in the Rems valley in Baden- Württemberg about 23 kilometers east of Stuttgart.

Geography

Winter creek is located in the Rems valley on the national highway 29 (Stuttgart - Aalen ) between Stuttgart and Schorndorf. In the capital there is a stop on the S-Bahn line S2 ( Schorndorf - Stuttgart - Stuttgart Airport - Filderstadt ), the winter creek on the Rems Railway at the Stuttgart S -Bahn network is connected.

Structure

Winter stream consists of the parts places Paderno, Engelberg and Manolzweiler. While part places Engelberg and Manolzweiler lying on the virgin forest south of the main town of Paderno, Paderno is even in the valley of the Rems. In the north of Paderno wine is grown.

Neighboring communities

The municipality winter stream bordered clockwise from the north over east to south-east to the town of Schorndorf, to the south by the municipalities of light woods and Baltmannsweiler, in the southwest of the city center and wine from the southwest through west to north Remshalden.

Despite its great economic power to Paderno has so far retained a rural character.

History

Middle Ages

Winter creek was in 1046 for the first time of Henry III. ( HRR ) mentioned in a document. Findings suggesting however suggest a significantly higher age. In 1080 the royal courts Paderno Waiblingen and passed through a donation from Henry IV before the Battle of Hohenmolsen in the possession of the cathedral chapter of Speyer. 1238 for the first time a pastor in winter Bach was notarized and since 1293 the wine industry in the district is detectable.

In 1309, the still existing St Michael's Church was consecrated, but the existence of a primitive church for the middle Rems is before the first mention winter Bach adopted in place. In the division of the County of Württemberg 1442 Winter creek came into the possession of the Stuttgarter Count line.

Modern Times

Coat of arms

Description: red with a silver (white ) wave beams, about a golden (yellow ) crown, including a silver (white ) Hape with golden ( yellow ) for wood.

The golden crown is a reminder that winter Bach was an old Reichgut and Emperor Henry III. has stopped on August 28, 1046 and on December 3, 1048 Winter creek. The wave beam makes the crest regarding " talking " to the second part of the name.

The Weinberghape is the old coat of arms figure of winter creek that can be traced back to 1831, was in course of time to a sickle and again today appears as Hape.

Winter creek belongs to the rich municipalities in Baden -Württemberg. Winter Bacher companies provide over 2000 jobs. This corresponds approximately to the number of people living in Paderno workers. The largest employer in the city is the Peter Hahn GmbH.

Every year in late June, the winter Bacher Fountain Festival from Saturday to Monday and held on the first Sunday of Advent, the winter Bacher Christmas market. In odd-numbered years held in July, the cultural initiative skirt the winter Bacher tent spectacle.
