Geography
Winter creek is located in the Danube-Iller region in the northeastern part of the district Günzburg in Holzwinkel in the Natural Park Augsburg Western Woods.
Districts are Delkenmühle, Eisingerhof, Rechenberg Reuthen, Waldkirch, Waldkircher mill and winter creek.

History
Winter creek was first mentioned in the 11th and 12th centuries. The district Rechenberg Reuthen was mentioned in a document of the monastery Fultenbach 1346 for the first time. Winter creek belonged to the Counts Fugger Glött as part of the rule Glött. With the Act of Confederation in 1806, the area became part of Bavaria. The three Holzwinkel villages Paderno, Waldkirch and Rechenberg Reuthen was.
