Wipper field is located in the western part of Wipperfuerth at the federal highway 506 between Wipperfuerth and Bergisch Gladbach.

The nearby towns are Lamsfuß, alders, Grüterich, Over hill and Oberholl.

History

First mention

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1300 as follows: " In Liber Valoris, a directory of parishes and their tax obligations in the Archdiocese of Cologne, Wipper Velde is listed as Capella ". The spelling of the first mention was Wipper Velde.

Middle Ages

The place belonged in the Middle Ages to the Official Steinbach ( Lindlar ). In a document dated 6 September 1363 stated: "Item de Wipper field, Bechen, Curten, Oylpe, Lyntlan, Ouerroide, Angel churches, Keppel et parochia de Wippervuerde in de officio Steynbech ".
