Wireless broadband

Under Broadband Wireless Access ( BWA) is defined as the broadband wireless access to a telecommunications network, for example to access the Internet.

BWA is a generic term for various wireless access technologies such as Wireless Local Loop ( WLL), Fixed Broadband Wireless Access ( FBWA ) or Mobile Broadband Wireless Access ( MBWA ). WiMAX ( WiMAX Forum ) and HiperMAN (ETSI ) are corresponding to these technologies " brands ".

Frequency allocation in different countries

From 12 to 15 December 2006, the Federal Network Agency has auctioned the spectrum for Broadband Wireless Access in the range 3400-3600 MHz. The Federal Republic was divided into 28 regions for this purpose.
