Wireless Session Protocol

The Wireless Session Protocol ( WSP) is part of the Wireless Application Protocol ( WAP) and serves to establish a session between the terminal and the WAP gateway. The gateway translates the terminal-specific request to an HTTP request and sends it to the WWW server. In addition to the normal HTML page, the web server can provide a website in Wireless Markup Language (WML) for mobile devices. WSP provides the user with a connection-oriented and connectionless service. The connection-oriented service, WTP (Wireless Transaction Protocol ), does not provide to the requesting by the confirmation request is available, the connectionless service, the WDP protocol (Wireless Datagram Protocol ), on the other hand.
