The business service is a monthly German magazine for economic policy. The media publishes articles by well-known authors from science, policy and practice on current issues of economic and social policy in Germany. Published also be relevant for the Federal Republic European Union issues, for example in the field of trade, environmental and monetary policy. The journal intends to build a bridge between science and practice and inform readers scientifically sound and in non-technical language of current economic policy issues. It belongs to the traditional economics journals.

Publication

The economic service first appeared in 1916 in Hamburg, where the editorial is established to date. Since 2007, the economy service due to the dissolution of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWA ) of the German National Library of Economics (ZBW ) is - Leibniz Information Centre for Economics published. In the Scientific Advisory Board economists were appointed, the feel of the scientific and evidence-based policy advice obliged.
