Wish (Manga)

Wish is a manga the mangaka Miku Nekoi, which belongs to the Japanese artist group CLAMP. This series is assigned to the genre of Shōjomangas.

Action

The young, melancholy surgeon Shuichiro meets on his way home on a small figure who is attacked by a crow. After he has scared the bird, the little creature turned out to be a little angel named Kohaku. Since it owes her life to him, promises Kohaku to the doctor a free request. Since Shuichiro not, however, interested in a free desire heavenly places with him to his apartment to help him in everyday life.

The actual reason why Kohaku appeared on earth, is the strange disappearance Hisuis, the main angel of the winds, which the little angel wants to enlighten. In Japan, the manga was first published in the June issue of the comic magazine Monthly Asuka Mystery DX in 1996. Between 1996 and 1997, the completed manga was published in four volumes in the Kodansha publishing house. In Wish America first appeared in 1997 in the publishing house Tokyopop. From America, the manga was imported to Australia. In Germany, the series was first published from 1999 to 2000 in Carlsen Verlag. There also exist translations into French, Spanish and Polish.

In Japan a Wish gift box that contained some merchandise items appeared. It was also a short music video for the manga. There is a private artbook to this series. Individual works of art can also be found in general Artbooks CLAMP.
