The white plate, also called Wiss plate, is a 2630 m according to Austrian data, according to Swiss 2628 m high mountain in the Rätikon, a mountain range of the Western Central Alps. The summit lies exactly on the border between the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, and the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The white board belongs to Sulzfluhgruppe. In the north and east, it has flat, platy walls with carts, in the West, however, it has steep, furrowed by deep gorges walls that can only be overcome with climbing. In contrast to neighboring Scheienfluh the white board is committed only rarely. About a first ascent in the 19th century is not known, but it is likely that hunters from northeast very early reached the summit.

Environment

The white plate is just eight kilometers in a straight line south of the village of Tschagguns in the Montafon Valley in Vorarlberg and about six kilometers northeast of the Grisons St.Antönien. To the east of the mountain falls down to Tilisunaalpe, westward to the top Partnuntal. To the north, the path transition pit pass at 2232 meters above sea level out the white plate emits a ridge, in the course of which the insignificant elevations Fluechopf ( 2438 m) and Mittelflue ( 2325 m) are located. Adjacent family in the course of Südostgrats, separated by a deep notch, often committed Scheienfluh (also called Schijenflue ) with 2,625 m. Farther to the west across the Partnuntals, is the Sulzfluh, in the east, beyond the Tilisunaalpe, are the Sarotlaspitzen.

Bases and routes

The white plate is down climbed usually only in the context of exceeding the northern Tilisunahütte ( 2208 m) on the Scheienfluh to Gargellen. The normal to the plate leads from the Tilisunahütte steep craggy in, according to the literature, easy climbing in difficulty UIAA I from the northeast or east pathless to the summit. The walk takes about 1 ½ hours, according to the literature. Pure climbing up to UIAA grade VI through the western and southern walls, the transition from the Scheienfluh is to cope in moderately difficult climbing in the UIAA grade II.
