Wistron Corporation

Wistron (Chinese纬 创 资 通) is a large Taiwanese OEM manufacturer of hardware, such as PCs or notebooks. The name is derived from English "wisdom " (wisdom) and English as "electronics " ( electronics).

Formerly a division Design and Manufacturing Services ( DMS) of Acer Inc. acting, its activities in 2000 were spun off as an independent company Wistron of the Acer Group, to achieve a clearer separation of the business under its own brand name of the OEM manufacturing.
