Witalis Ludwiczak

Witalis Ludwiczak ( born April 20, 1910 in Poznan, † June 19, 1988 ) was a Polish ice hockey player and coach and rowers and high school teachers.

Career

Witalis Ludwiczak studied law in Poznan. With the ice hockey team AZS Poznań, he won the Polish championship in the season 1933/34. In rowing, he became Polish Champion in 1933 coxless four. During the Second World War, he was in a German POW camp in the officers' camp II C in Woldenberg. In 1955, he served as coach of the Polish national ice hockey team. After his athletic career, he taught as a professor of private law at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In this role, he authored more than 60 publications on the subject of law.

Internationally

For the Polish national ice hockey team Ludwiczak participated in the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid and 1936 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1933, 1935, 1937, 1938 and 1939. Overall, he played 47 international matches from 1931 to 1939 for Poland, scoring three goals.
