Wizards of Waverly Place - The Movie is a television film production of The Walt Disney Company and the film for Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place ( Wizards of Waverly Place). Action
The Russo family is a leisure trip to the Caribbean. The rebellious Alex does not want to come along on this trip, but after it has once again conjured without permission, they will be forced to join the holiday. Although it should be a nice family vacation, Alex sees it as a punishment, because they wanted to stay with her friend Harper at home. She is also annoyed that her parents Jerry and Theresa prescribe her everything, even though she is already 16 years old. After her daughter Theresa, granted pursuant to a further dispute, house arrest and magic ban, Alex is angry and wishes that her parents had never met. Due to the fact that Alex the mighty family wand keeps at her outburst in hand, is her wish a reality.
Her parents forget all about her real family. Jerry still has his magic powers, he has never married. Theresa thinks Alex was a young employee of the hotel complex and Justin, Alex and Max begin their past to forget. Standing under extreme time pressure, they are now trying to make the request you made and save the family. Jerry advises Justin that they should be looking for the Stone of Dreams. This artifact has the power to fulfill any special requests to make each spell undone, but each person only once has the opportunity to use it.
While Alex, Justin and Archie make their way to find the Stone of Dreams, Max tries to bring together his parents again. Archie is a former magician who has the only working card to the stone of dreams and with whose help he wants to turn his bird into a man. Finally, the reality catches up with Max and he disappears first, because he would never be born. Meanwhile, Justin and Alex have managed to get the stone of dreams. However, this is them stolen from Archies bird. Jerry sees the last chance to save the family that Alex or Justin performs a spell that only succeeds if one is a full-fledged magician. However, a full magic power can get only one of the siblings. Since they have no choice but to take Justin and Alex the Wizard competition prematurely against each other so that one of them is a full-fledged magician and can speak the saving spell.
Ultimately, Alex wins and gained their full magic power. Shortly after, Justin disappears. In desperation, Alex does not know what to do and they can not make it perform the spell. But in the meantime gets Theresa the stone from Archie. Although the opinion is still firmly, not to have children and not be married, they are the rock Alex, because she has to want to help her feel. Alex wishes that everything should be as it was.
This wish will come true and everything is back as before. Only Justin, Alex and Max remember what happened. Jerry and Theresa have no idea about the events, but are pleased that their children are suddenly no longer argue and are totally enthusiastic about the family vacation.

Planned continuation
On 3 June 2010 have been confirmed by Disney, that there will be a second movie. The screenplay is written by Dan Berendsen. On April 25, 2011 Selena Gomez has said in an interview that there is no second film. In September 2012, however, a reunion was announced in the form of a television film, which continues the series plot. It will again play all the main characters of the series.
Shooting
The rotation began on 15 February 2009 and lasted for about six weeks. Mainly filmed in Puerto Rico, but also in New York City and Los Angeles.
