Wladimir von Pawlowski

Vladimir von Pawlowski ( born August 29, 18911961 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian jurist and Gauleiter of Carinthia.

From Pawlowski was a descendant in the 19th century emigrated to Carinthia Polish noble family. His father was a district captain in Spittal an der Drau. After studying law, he was a lawyer in the Carinthian Government, but in 1935 for political reasons, suspended him from duty. In July 1936, he joined the SS and was banned in Austria after the Anschluss of Austria to the German Reich in 1938 Gauleiter of Carinthia. In the meantime replaced by Hubert Klausner, he was 1939-1941 again. In Graz he was sentenced in 1951 to five years in prison and died after his release from prison in 1961 in Klagenfurt.
