The Woerden station is a through station, the Dutch railway company NS in the Dutch town of Woerden.

History

The station was opened with the first section from Utrecht to Gouda the railway line Utrecht -Rotterdam on 21 May 1855 by " Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg - Maatschappij ". 1911 received a new Art Nouveau building of the railway station. Between 1993 and 1996 the station was modernized and the railway station where but retained its distinctive Art Nouveau building. Changes have been made, among others, on the old wooden footbridge over the tracks. This was replaced by a more modern version. The old wooden roof over the tracks has been replaced by a modern extension at the entrance. This allows a reliable shelter even in the continuous passenger increase.
